The project 'prontuario 8' is in progress since April 2007 and has been commisioned by 'pro:Holz Austria'. The project deals with the development of an information-booklet, which includes the wood-solid-construction (cross-laminated-timber) in Italian language. Furthermore, the contents of the booklet are being concentrated and made available as teaching-lectures.

The booklet with about 40 pages should comprise the following essential chapters:

• fields of application (housing, communal buildings, bridge construction, hall constructions)
• technology (wood species, material, superstructures, production)
• modelling and modes of attestation
• structural engineering, building physics and overall concepts
• calculation example

The project is being handled by the 'holz.bau forschungs gmbh' in cooperation with the Institute for Timber Engineering and Wood Technology and the Labor for Building Physics (both Technical University Graz).

Further translations in English, Spanish and French are planed.
